Public Safety: Police say man hit house with car and fled on foot - San Diego Union Tribune
MISSION BEACH: San Diego police arrested a driver yesterday on suspicion of smashing into a house and then running away.
Officers searched for the man for about 40 minutes before they captured him about 1 p.m. on Jewel Street near La Playa Avenue in Mission Beach. More than a dozen officers and a police dog took part in the search.
The man, 30, is suspected of crashing a Honda Accord into a house on Ingraham Street near La Mancha Drive about 12:15 p.m., police said. He is suspected of having been under the influence of drugs, Sgt. David Jennings said.
Police said the man was apprehended after he broke into an apartment by smashing a window, injuring his hand. He then stole clothes to change into and left his bloody clothes in the apartment, police said. Officers arrested him as he tried to leave, Jennings said. –M.A. & L.B.
Man stabbed more than 20 times; woman sought
SAN DIEGO: Police were looking for a woman suspected of stabbing a 64-year-old man more than 20 times Saturday night.
