"You can run but you can't hide."That was the message delivered to Internet child predators by OPP Commissioner Julian Fantino during a press conference held Thursday (Feb. 5) in which police announced the results of the largest child-pornography/exploitation sweep in Ontario's history by police forces across the province.
Fantino was joined by a total of 19 representatives of police services from across the province in announcing the results of the province-wide child pornography sweep undertaken Wednesday (Feb. 4), and four London residents were among the 31 people charged.
The sweep was part of the Provincial Strategy to Protect Children from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on the Internet, a coordinated effort that includes the London police Cyber Crime Unit.
