Lux Interior: The wildest rock frontman this side of Iggy Pop and ... - Chicago Tribune
08.02.09
Lux Interior is dead. It can't be. He had defied serious injury so many times before in performances that at times he seemed like an indestructible, pasty-skinned zombie who would never rest.
The lead singer and founder of the Cramps, Lux died a few days ago in a California hospital at age 60 from a heart condition.
I once was among a group of people who helped the singer perform one of his typically insane feats at a Cramps concert in Chicago 15 years ago. As he attempted to scale one of the low-rent opera boxes at the Vic Theatre wearing little more than high heels and vinyl pants, we reached down and pulled him up. We were then treated to an in-your-face, microphone-swallowing performance by the wildest rock frontman I have ever seen this side of Iggy Pop and the Jesus Lizard's David Yow.
The erstwhile Lux, whose real name was Erick Lee Purkhiser, formed the Cramps in New York in 1976 with his wife, guitarist Poison Ivy

You should note that 2952 Valderas is a townhouse, not a single family - thought it certainly feels more like a house than a unit. It is located on the hill just behind the park, a very serene location. 4645 Hillard is one of my favorite listings in La Canada. The listing agent tells me the owners are willing to deal- call me for the scoop!!!!

This is not a complete list. I’ve been hinting for days about a fabulous new listing in Northwest Glendale and it, too, will be open Sunday, 1 PM to 4 PM. I want to debut the whole package with stunning pictures… so you’ll have to wait until tomorrow’s post for the big reveal. However, I can tell you it has everything you need for effortless, stylish living, it’s a wonderful location on a tree lined street and it is listed for $699,000.

Buying a Foreclosed Home in Burbank / Glendale California at Auction?
Jan 27, 2008 by Buddy | Posted in Renting & Real Estate
I'm moving to the Burbank/Glendale area this summer and I'm thinking about renting at first, then trying to buy a home at foreclosure. Has anyone done it in this area? What's the best way to get more information about it? Thanks!
Are you talking about auctions at the Court House? If so, you need to be cash-liquid and have a cashiers check with you. If that's not a option, then I'd suggest talking to a local Realtor when you get to town. There's a ton of Inventory on the market with a large portion of that either "Short Sales" or REOs. It's a great time to buy. Short Sales will require patience, and don't be disappointed if the 1st few deals fall through.

Do you think its a good time to flip homes in the L.A county specifically glendale, burbank area ?

Anytime is a good time as long as you make a reasonable profit. It is in a downward trend so you can expect that any property you buy today is going to loose more money before the market bottoms out.
